Most of the time I sit on my computer and start figuring it out. The time of the demolition, pulling the permits, inspection dates, coordinating materials. But most of the time we plan for so long before we can even execute.

This is great because it'll actually show my clients what it's gonna cost them to get what they want. The more informed they are, the easier it makes my job.

In the end, the designer I’m gonna be completely frank, sometimes gets in the way of the customer and the contractor relationship—so I love the fact that you can steer them and get them to decide because the worst thing is somebody who doesn’t know anything about what they want.
